Heartsaver Firstaid CPR AED course

Introduction

AHA’s Heartsaver courses are designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

The CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.

Course Content

• First aid basics
• Medical emergencies
• Injury emergencies
• Environmental emergencies
• Preventing illness and injury
• Adult CPR and AED use
• Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
• Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Training methods

• Face to Face sessions with a duration of approximately 8 hours (1 day)
• Video assisted teaching and learning system
• Real time feedback
• Updated science based content

Assessment

• Theory exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions
• Practical Assessment

Certificate

Candidates successfully completed the course requirement will get the certificate from American heart Association

Validity of Certificate

Two years from the date of course completion

Renewal

Renewal of the course is permitted as per the guidelines
